The monument, in its most profound sense, is not a functional piece of architecture but an entity whose primary purpose is simply to exist. It does not cater to the daily needs of humans but communicates through what it represents: a symbol, a memory, a point of reference.
This concept inspired the idea of translating the monumental nature of architecture into design, creating household objects that, while retaining practical functionality, derive their meaning from their mere presence.
The Flavia chair embodies this vision, taking inspiration from the Colosseum. The iconic structure is reimagined on a smaller scale, not through a faithful reconstruction but through a symbolic reinterpretation.

Crafted using large-scale FDM 3D printing with high-performance PETG or ASA, the chair integrates sustainable design principles through additive manufacturing. This process minimizes material waste by eliminating excess cuts and scraps, while utilizing recyclable thermoplastics. Engineered for long-term durability, the chair reduces environmental impact across its lifecycle, aligning with eco-design best practices.

The backrest, with its three rows of arches, evokes the outermost section of the Flavian Amphitheater, while the seat, with its two rows, references the lower arches, originally positioned closer to the center.
The arches are the central narrative element of the design: they carve into the pure form of the chair, utilizing the polished surface of PETG to create a striking interplay with light.
