Mjolnir is a playful seating object conceived as a sculptural presence rather than a conventional chair. Its compact, monolithic form recalls Thor’s iconic hammer, translated into a domestic scale through a pop-oriented language of saturated colors, graphic stripes, and the printed Worthy lettering.

The object is composed of two elements: a base seat and a vertical handle that slots into it. This solution keeps the seat constant while allowing the handle to vary, creating different chromatic configurations when multiple pieces share the same space. The graphics can also be reinterpreted through variations in color or texture.

Mjolnir remains in stable equilibrium when unused or when two users sit with a similar weight distribution. Any imbalance activates the object, turning it into a gentle rocking element. It is not intended for prolonged sitting, but as a small interactive device that reveals the relationship between bodies, weight, and movement.

Designed for rotomolded polyethylene, the object takes advantage of a process suited to large, hollow forms with continuous surfaces, reinforcing its monolithic character and durability.

In mythology, Mjolnir could be lifted only by those deemed worthy among the gods. Here, the hammer has fallen to Earth: Thor is gone, and what was once a divine weapon for the Aesir becomes, for the inhabitants of Midgard, a human-scale object. While waiting for his return, there is nothing left to do but play with it.
