Sir takes a two-step approach to abstraction: the geometric interpretation of the human body already embodied in medieval armour is pushed one step further.
The choice of armour comes from its solemn, almost hieratic presence, and its ability to hold its expressive character within both historic architecture and contemporary spaces.

The figure is reduced to a series of essential volumes — base, legs, torso, neck and head — translating the structure of the armour into a composition of solids and voids defined by shelves and partitions.
Designed in solid walnut or oak, the bookcase combines a sculptural presence with a functional purpose, making it suitable for residential, public and exhibition spaces.

The uppermost shelf, corresponding to the head, is available in two versions.

The element can also be further developed into additional configurations to meet the manufacturer’s production and engineering requirements.
